Battle of Britain Commemoration
Sunday 15th September 11am
​
There will be a short ceremony to commemorate the 84th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Meet at the RAF memorial near the chapel at 11am.

The Friends chapel will be open afterwards for refreshments
Heritage Open Day at Woodbury Park Cemetery 15th September at 10am
Woodbury Park Cemetery are celebrating 175 years since opening. Join them for an introduction to this Victorian gem
Lichens walk at Woodbury Park Cemetery
Saturday 12th October at 10.30am
Keith Palmer will lead a walk identifying some of the many lichens that are found in Woodbury Park Cemetery
23rd October Fungus Walk
Our popular annual fungus walk will take place on Wednesday 23rd October at 10am.

Blessing of Catholic Graves (date tbc)
​
Everyone is welcome to attend the annual blessing of Catholic graves, which takes place on the Sunday closest to All Souls’ Day. Meet for prayers in the Catholic section of the cemetery near the Bayham Road entrance. Graves in other parts of the cemetery can be blessed on request. The Friends Chapel will be open afterwards for hot drinks and cake.
10th November. Remembrance Sunday

This annual event will see wreaths laid at the four War Memorials in the cemetery. These are the First and Second World War Crosses of Sacrifice, the Civilian War Memorial and the RAF Memorial. Everyone is invited to attend this Civic Event.

The Friends Chapel will be open after the event for refreshments
7th December at 3pm Advent Concert
